Your privacy is fundamental to what CuraMi is. This app is built on the premise that your inner life is yours — your journal entries, your vision, your reflections. This Privacy Policy explains clearly what we collect, how we use it, and the control you have over it.
1. Information We Collect

3. How Your Data Is Stored
3.1 Storage Provider
Your account data and journal content is stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database provider. All data is:

CuraMi caches your recent entries locally on your device for offline access. This local data is protected by your device's built-in security (iOS data protection).
3.3 Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
4. Third-Party Services
CuraMi shares limited data with the following third parties, solely to provide the service:
4.1 Anthropic (Portrait Generation)
When you request a Monthly Portrait, your journal entries from that month and your vision statement are sent to Anthropic's Claude API via our secure backend server. This data is used only to generate your portrait and is not retained or used by Anthropic for model training under our agreement.

4.2 Apple
Apple processes your in-app purchase transactions and handles Sign in with Apple authentication. Apple's privacy policy governs their handling of this data.
4.3 PostHog (Analytics)
We use PostHog for anonymized usage analytics. No journal content, vision statements, or personally identifiable information is sent to PostHog.
4.4 No Other Sharing
We do not share your data with any other third parties. We do not sell, rent, or license your personal data or journal content to anyone, for any purpose.
5. Your Rights & Controls
5.1 Access & Export
You may request a copy of all data we hold about you by contacting privacy@curami.app. We will respond within 30 days.
5.2 Correction
You may update your name and email through the app's profile settings at any time.
5.3 Deletion
You may delete your account and all associated data directly within the app:

5.4 Notification Controls
You may enable or disable push notifications at any time through your iPhone Settings > Notifications > CuraMi.
5.5 Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. See our Terms of Service for cancellation details.
6. Children's Privacy
CuraMi is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact privacy@curami.app.
7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@curami.app.
8. GDPR (European Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and data portability. Our legal basis for processing your data is the performance of our contract with you (providing the CuraMi service). To exercise your rights, contact privacy@curami.app.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. The updated policy will always be available within the app and at our website.

1. About CuraMi
CuraMi is a self-care journaling application for iOS that helps users reflect on daily moments, define a personal vision, and receive AI-generated monthly portraits connecting their entries to that vision. CuraMi is operated by its developer ("we," "us," or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using CuraMi, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use CuraMi. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent.
3. Your Account
CuraMi uses Sign in with Apple or Google to authenticate your account. You are responsible for:

You agree to use CuraMi only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

5. Subscriptions & Payments
5.1 Pricing
CuraMi offers the following purchase options:
5.2 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
5.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.
5.4 Free Tier
After your first Monthly Portrait is generated, you will be invited to subscribe. You may continue using basic journaling features without a subscription, but Monthly Portrait generation requires an active subscription.
5.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price change. Continued use of the app after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
6. AI-Generated Content
CuraMi uses artificial intelligence (via Anthropic's Claude API) to generate Monthly Portraits based on your journal entries and personal vision. You acknowledge that:

7. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all journal entries, vision statements, and other content you create in CuraMi ("Your Content"). By using the app, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the CuraMi service to you — specifically, to transmit relevant entries to Anthropic's API for portrait generation.
We do not sell, license, or share Your Content with any third party for advertising, research, or any other commercial purpose.
8. Intellectual Property
All CuraMi branding, design, code, and content (excluding Your Content) is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any CuraMi materials without our express written consent.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
CURAMI IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF CURAMI, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF CURAMI SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CuraMi and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the app or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to CuraMi at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your account data at any time via the in-app settings or by contacting privacy@curami.app.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notification or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of CuraMi after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Virginia.
